Chocolate syrup

It’s as simple as it gets, Yes! This simple concoction of basic ingredients, when done right they would give a run to any store brought chocolate syrup. The best part is you expertly know what goes in, as you may have control over the amount of sugar that gets in.

This can be mixed with hot or cold dairy or non dairy milk or top it on your favorite ice cream or just with hot water.


ingredients:

  1. 1 cup coco powder

  2. 1 cup sugar or any (sugar substitute like stavia or monk fruit, palm sugar)

  3. 1 cup water

  4. pinch of salt

  5. pinch of instant coffee powder

  6. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla


Method:

In a large pot mix all the ingredients using an whisk.until smooth. Then crake the heat on a medium low flame.

We are not looking to boil, If heat is too high the chocolate will leave a bitter after taste.

Constantly keep stirring until the syrup has reached a desirable consistency.(silk smooth yet thick)

Allow it to cool and store in a mason jar This may last for few weeks if your are not tempted to finish it,By then😉!
